The short version
Mizania is a money tracker. We store only what the app needs to work: your name, your email address, an optional profile photo, and the money records you type in.
We do not sell your data. We show no ads. We track nothing about you beyond the app itself. Your data is kept until you delete your account — then it is deleted.
Who we are
Mizania is a small family-finance app: you note what you earn and spend across your wallets, set monthly budgets, and keep recurring bills in view. This policy covers the Mizania iPhone app and the website that runs behind it.
What we store
- Your name and email address. Used to create your account and to sign you in.
- Your password. We never see or store the password itself — only a scrambled version that cannot be read back.
- An optional profile photo. Only if you choose to add one.
- Your money records. The wallets, entries, budgets, and bills you (and the family members you invite) create in a shared space. This is the app's core data — it exists so your history is there when you open the app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We show no advertising.
- We run no analytics and no ad trackers inside the app.
- We do not read your contacts, location, photos, or anything else on your phone. The app only sees what you type into it.
Where your data lives
Your records are stored on one private server in Singapore, and every connection to it is encrypted (HTTPS). Copies of the data are kept as backups — on the server itself and in encrypted cloud storage with Cloudflare — so your money history survives a hardware failure. Data is never used for anything except running the app for you.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When your account is deleted, your records are deleted too. Backup copies age out of our backups within 30 days, after which they are gone for good.
Family spaces
A shared space in Mizania works like a shared notebook: every member of that space can see and change everything in it. Only invite people you trust with your money information. A personal space stays yours alone.
Children
Mizania is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If what we store or how we protect it ever changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
